This coaching association is a world wide coaching organization that sought us out to build a website. They needed it to attract new members, deepen the relationship with existing members, and improve the back-end administrative function of their existing site.
Process & Results
Here is how we met these goals
The preparation of the redesigned website included:
- Develop User Stories: Identified the types of users and their needs, so that each individual user was considered within the design and function of the new site.
- Information Architecture: Organized hundreds of existing pages so that the content was in line with the user's needs.
We learned from the preparation process that to attract new members the home page content needed to target new members. The needs of existing members would be addressed once they logged in.
Wireframes were built to establish the layout of the content. As you can see these wireframes were edited before the final site was launched. The design process starts by developing a design guide that includes core colors, fonts, buttons, and icons. This makes it possible to keep our client's website consistent. Eventually, this design guide mockup was turned into a design guide page accessible only to Admins. When the design was converted into photoshop images, it was then submitted to a select group of users for feedback on the user experience.
We identified the lack of consistency in our client's marketing as one of the principal factors the organization stalled signing up new members. The association's website could not connect to the information in their customer relations management (CRM) tool, Infusionsoft or their learning management system (LMS) which is a fancy way of saying "test taking application." Now, their new website can automatically monitor and respond to potential members, current members and visitors looking to hire their members. We built a sophisticated automated system that allows board members, staff, and members to focus on the mission of the organization, mastering coaching.
The new website and marketing tool we created for our client, was unfamiliar technology for board members and staff. We provided hours of training videos, documentation, and live training.
